Burn Model
Burn RAIR to mint tiered DAO access
RAIR tokens are burned and converted to a soul-bound NFT representation of the license that each entity can use as proof-of-license.
Perks
With finite development resources available, prioritization must occur.
RAIRprotocol relies on our network of community developers to make the platform better. As an open deployment layer there are a limitless amount of new integrations, features, and the like that can better our deployment layer better. As such..
There is priority support for troubleshooting and maintaining our open infrastructure.
Priority to direct the development roadmap. Aka which features and integrations the community is incentivized to focus on.
Finally, higher tiers have the ability to create their own developer pools, thus sharing in the incentive rewards system directly.
As RAIRprotocol is 100% open source, all have access to an equal shared commons (equality of opportunity). The RAIR token exists to prioritize development for those with the resources to support the platform.
Tiers
Each tier of the DAO is accessible by burning* RAIR tokens. Perks are as follows:
Tier | New Features | Support | ~USD/RAIR* | Pool Rights |
---|---|---|---|---|
Registered | Community | Community | 0 | None |
Member | Community | Community+ | ~100 | None |
Startup | Priority | Priority | ~10,000 | Official DAO |
Organization | Roadmap | Dedicated Devops | ~100,000 | New Pool |
Enterprise | Roadmap+ | 24/7 Full Stack Support | ~1,000,000 | New Pool(s) |
Tiers increase in influence and participation in the network.
Registered: Submit new feature requests and support tickets into public issues. Join existing pools.
Member: Submit new feature requests and support tickets into public issues with community tag. Join existing pools.
Startup: Contact core team directly via private Startup support chat. Priority access to developer network. Join official RAIRprotocol DAO pool.
Organization: Propose new roadmap features directly into quarterly timeline. Dedicated Devops engineering support. Create a new pool.
Enterprise: Guaranteed roadmap support for 1 issue per quarter. Dedicated devops + fullstack engineering support. Create multiple pools.
*Prices are estimates only do not take sample pricing as gospel. DAO to vote on pricing tiers annually.
Pools
The pooling concept is fundamental to the longterm success of the RAIRprotocol ecosystem. Pools create the needed incentive infrastructure for sustainable open source development.
When developers submit code to our open repositories, they must do so through a developer pool. The pool receives a portion of their incentive reward for helping to Shepard the code through the review process. Developers are free to join any pool they wish.
Pool Logic
Each pool can set the following parameters
Pool Rate: This is the overall take rate the pool receives from any successful reward distribution.
Member Share: This is the % of the pool set aside for each member of the pool. Rewards are divided portionally by each voted in member.
Sponsor Share: This is the % of the pool set aside for pool Administrator wallet directly. The funds directly pay for the QA/QC work for verify and validate code submissions.
Pool Creation Rights
Only higher tier DAO members may create their own pools. This requires skin-in-the-game to create and administer new pools. See above tier schedule.
Licensing Process
Entity behind each dApp or project applies at rairprotocol.org. Submits 0x addresses for their dApp to register their project.
See perks schedule for how many RAIR tokens are required to reach which perks tier.
To unlock perks, Project submits a a entity a valid hash transaction with required RAIR tokens.
Entity submits an onchain transaction burning RAIR tokens and minting valid license NFT to insert into the NOTICE file of their code repository.
Annual renewal
Perks expire 1 year from grant granted and must be renewed annually to maintain perks status.
